Management Team Completes Purchase of Quality Division
From Fleming Companies
20 May 2002, Memphis, TN - The management group of Memphis
based Quality Incentive Company today announced their purchase
of the company from parent Fleming Companies, Inc. Quality
Incentive Company offers design, administration, and merchandise
fulfillment for premium based incentive programs. These programs
offer companies and organizations solutions to operational
challenges such as safety, attendance, turnover, and productivity.
"We're very excited about the future for our company
and our associates," said Scott Newman, president. "We
have an experienced team of dedicated associates who understand
the incentive business," he continued. "We will
maintain the high standards that have been the hallmark of
Quality Incentive since its inception in 1984," he said.
The new company has retained all of the Fleming associates.
Operations will continue from offices at 4690 Hungerford Road,
and from its distribution center located at 3660 Knight Road.
"Incentive programs offer solutions with lasting results,"
said Jeff Sheridan, vice-president, sales. "Playing a
role in helping to produce positive change is very satisfying,"
he added, "especially in today's competitive environment."
Quality Companies began in 1954 and has provided a wide range
of services, including trading stamps, travel, promotions,
as well as incentives and recognition. Following the acquisition
of Malone & Hyde by Fleming Companies in 1988, the promotion
and travel services were relocated to other departments within
Fleming. The trading stamp company was closed in 2001.
